We're a Tucson company and most of our work is inside the city, but the truck goes out to the surrounding towns and foothills too. If you're close and you're not on this list, it's still worth a call.

Where we're based and where most of our work is. Older midtown lots with mature trees and tired irrigation, newer builds on the edges with bare dirt and nothing in yet.

Big newer lots with a lot of open ground to work with, and enough room to get equipment in. Wind and blowing dust here make bed edging and rock depth worth getting right.

HOA country. Plant palettes, rock colour and wall heights are often spelled out in the CC&Rs, so it's worth knowing the rules before the material shows up on a pallet.

Slope, rock and drainage. Water moves fast off the foothills in monsoon, so grading and retention matter more here than anywhere else in the valley.

Established neighbourhoods with mature landscaping that's often outgrown its irrigation. A lot of the work out here is tear-out and replacement rather than starting clean.

Newer subdivisions where the builder left the back yard as raw dirt. Usually a full build from nothing — grading, hardscape, irrigation and turf in one go.

Flat lots, easy access, and a lot of newer homes with a blank slate out back. Straightforward builds when the base gets done properly.

Low-maintenance is the priority for most properties down here — turf instead of lawn, rock instead of beds, and irrigation simple enough to not need babysitting.

Open desert lots on the way out to the Santa Ritas. Wind, dust and long sight lines — screening and windbreak planting earn their keep here.

Tight newer lots where side-gate access decides half the plan. Worth checking what actually fits through before anybody quotes a machine.

Larger lots, older homes and plenty of properties that have never had a proper drainage plan. Grading first, everything else after.

Bigger properties, mature mesquite and washes running through back yards. Tree work and runoff control tend to come before anything decorative.

What this valley does to a yard.
Anybody can lay pavers. Getting them to still be flat in five years is a Tucson-specific problem, and it's the reason a crew from out of the area often gets it wrong.

Caliche
A cemented hardpan layer under a lot of the valley. It won't drain and it won't compact evenly. Build on top of it and the surface dishes out. We dig through it.

Monsoon Runoff
Weeks of nothing, then inches in an hour. Everything gets pitched so the water leaves the patio and the foundation instead of pooling against them.

Heat & UV
Cheap turf backing and cheap edging both fail fast in a Tucson summer. Material choice matters more here than the install price does.

Water Cost
Drip sized per plant, turf where lawn used to be, and rock where neither is needed. Most of what we build is aimed at a smaller water bill.
